FISHING REPORT:

Pinecrest Lake
You may fish year round at Pinecrest Lake. Rainbow Trout are planted on a weekly basis from Memorial Weekend thru mid-September. There are also Brown Trout, small Kokane and Catfish in Pinecrest Lake.
Lake fishing has been great. Shore fishing with Chartreuse power bait has been a best bet. Panther Martins and Rooster Tails have also been doing great from shore.

Trolling has been very good Trolling depth has been 10’. To 20 feet Use blades with crawlers. Lures to try behind blades. Needlefish.Triple Teaser, Kastmaster.

Fly-fishermen have been using the Black Wooly Bugger. Using float tubes past buoys.

Beardsley Reservoir
Trolling as usual has done good. Blades with crawlers

or the Wedding Ring lure. Trolling near dam 10 to 25 feet is your best bet. Trolling towards inlet is Super, easy limits nice size along with the planted fish.
After-bay fishing has been great. Rapala’s are doing really well. Fly-fishing with black flies are also doing good.

Check regulations for fishing after bay.

Clarks Fork
Water is high & fast making fishing very slow. Best bet is Pautskes eggs or power eggs. Use more weight than normal. Look for slower water. Lures you can try Panther Martin,Rooster Tails,Mepps.

Fraiser Flat
This has been the best for stream fishing as the river widens. Waters very high due to heavy run off. Eggs the best so far, along with Power Worms.

Kennedy Meadow

The fishing is getting better as water is slowing. Look for slower water. Pautske eggs and Power eggs working the best. Lures are working in slower water. Panther Martin,Mepps,Rooster Tails.

Stanislaus South/Middle Fork

Fishing has done quite well. Waters are running quick in spots. Meadow fishing near the second bridge is doing really good in Strawberry Look for slow moving holes.

Salmon eggs or power eggs are a best bet. Power Bait Worms also working very well. Middle Fork very slow due to high and fast water. Be careful and fish with a friend.
